Stay on target!

It seems as though there are two schools of thought on displaying action figures.  There's the more pure display approach where you line up figures, vehicles, etc.  And then there's the diorama approach, where figures are posed in scenes.

Where does your collection aesthetic lie?  Are you more of a pure displayer, or do you like the diorama approach?  Discuss!

WHEN I ever get around to building my displays, it will vary.

For Hasbro figures, it will be diorama style.  I'll be dumping all figures that don't fit thematically with whatever I build.

For Hasbro Titaniums, it will be direct, stairstep approach.

For Hasbro Galactic Heroes, no idea.  I may sell them all.

For Gentle Giant...there's a conundrum.  I haven't figured it out yet.  Since I have a pretty dang huge collection, it'll take some work.

For Palisades Predator and Alien, direct approach.

For Palisades Invader Zim and Muppets, diorama style!  Palisades Ren & Stimpy/Pink Panther/Fairly Odd Parents as well as DC Direct Looney Tunes will all be direct display since there isn't enough of them.  Corpse Bride and Nightmare Before Christmas will be quasi-diorama.

For KidRobot Dunnys, IWG and the rest of the urban vinyl, it will be mixed but mostly direct display.  I've got a pretty cool idea for the 3" Dunny's if I can pull it off.  I.W.G. figs will most likely be a jungle diorama.  Jamungo will be direct, stairstep display.

Kubricks and Be@rbricks...I haven't decided either.  But it will be a non-diorama display.  There's simply too many of them.  I think I have 1300 or so.  That's a heck of a lot.  Same with Minimates and PalZ.  Although the PalZ will be displayed diorama style.  That one I do know.

And, then again, maybe I'll do a Pete and just sell them all.

I certainly don't have room for it all.

Well my vechiles I put more as a pure displayer.

And for the figures, I have 2 choices. A lot of my figures are still carded and are hanging on my wall. And for those I get out, I put them in a sort of diorama. Meaning I don't make a scene after the movie, but just make the envirement the same (sand, snow, forrest,...) and all the figures who belong there just stand there.

I display basic figures in release order, loose, holding as many accesories as possible. For battle packs I display them with the cardboard background. And for non-Hasbro stuff, I crowd them onto one shelf
