I would really appreciate it if the clearance price posts would include little things like location or if its an all chain sort of sale. I went to target in oak creek,wi hoping for $10 tie fighters only to find a shelf full of $40 tie fighters and 2 full priced x-wings too boot. just asking thats all.

We apologize. We will be sure to do that going forward. We didn't mean to imply that every single TARGET had these for clearance but that many stores price killed them. We report from the PA/NJ/KY area (and soon MI) areas. Specifically, in PA, only one TARGET we visited had them still for full price. All the other were 75% off. We will also update our post.  Thank you for being a reader!

Thanks for your comments darthboba42.  All of us on the staff at Jedi Temple Archives are mindful that what one of our reporters may see at an individual store may not be the case nationally.  Going forward, when JTA does post reports on pricing or other retail trends, our reporters will be sure let our readers know where in the United States we have sighted something noteworthy.  Our staff has started to do this in large part because of your post, as seen in this report about clearance prices at Target.

There is some significant news on the price front with Basic Figures.  Word from Toy Fair is that basic figures may be rolling back to a $6.99 price point.  The Vintage Collection, however, will be at an MSRP of $7.99.

The current WalMart basic figure price of $6.00 per figure is pretty attractive.  Especially if you're looking to do some army building or pick up some custom fodder.

One of the local Wal Mart stores in my area clearanced the deluxe vehicles (Y-Wing and Shadow ARC-170) down to $25 in mid January. They got more in last week and returned them to $64. Yesterday a friend scanned them and they came up $45. Very, very odd

Sounds like it's time to do some bargain hunting!  I had been holding off on the Shadow ARC-170 for a while.  It appears that now is the time to strike!

Just returned from a trip to Target. They just marked basic figures down to $6.99. I haven't checked to see if it is all of the Target stores in the area or just that one so far. As it stands now in the Des Moines Metro area, Wal Mart is $6, at least one Target is $6.99, and Toys R Us is $6.99. K-Mart has also reduced their prices dropping down from $8.99 to $8.49 (woohoo!!what a bargain). Now if they can just get a decent selection of army builders I will be happy.

Most of the Target stores in the Des Moines Metro area have dropped their basic figures down to $6.04. Also, most of them have sold out or no longer carry the exclusive Red 2 X-Wing. However, one store has placed them on an endcap and put a sign that reads Temporary Price Cut $39.99. The funny thing is at the bottom of teh sign it reads that it was supposed to be at that price from 2/28-5/5. They just placed them on the endcap last week so I don't see how that makes sense.

The two Toys R Us in my area raised the figures back up to $7.49 (just in time for the  EU wave I guess). They raised the deluxe figure and vehicle sets to $19.99.

Wal Mart is still at $6 but haven't had any new figures for weeks

The Target store that had the X-Wings at $39.99 TPC has dropped them down to $29.99 TPC. They have taken them off the endcap (replaced them with Prince of Persia Legos). They put them back in the main aisle. They have removed the bottom two rows of pegs for Star Wars figures and put a shelf up. There is now only room for 4 of them instead of the 10 that ws on the endcap. According to the DCPI and scanner, there is some still in the stockroom.
